***Important Membership Update – Please Read***
As some of you might be aware, last year the NDSSG became a registered charity. This has really enabled us to develop and grow what we are able to offer to our members and hopefully serve the local Down’s Syndrome community and their families better.
NDSSG is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and we are using the “Association Model” which means we will have a wider voting membership (all of you guys) who can be more directly involved with decision making, will usually appoint the charity trustees and may be involved in the wider work of the CIO.
Therefore, everyone involved with or using the services of the NDSSG are now required to become members of the organisation.
We have two types of membership available:
1. Family Membership is for Immediate Families of a person with Down’s Syndrome (e.g., Person with DS, Parents and Siblings).
2. Supporter Membership is for all other people interested in the charity. (e.g., Grandparents, Healthcare Professionals, and all other users of NDSSG services).
There is no charge for membership and all memberships are lifelong. Should you wish to make a donation toward the work of the charity there will be a link provided after your membership form has been submitted.
It is really important that you all please follow this link and register as members of the organisation to enable you to continue to access all of the events, groups and activities that NDSSG currently provides.
