World Downs Syndrome Day 2023!!!
Plans are coming together and we have 5 willing teams of volunteers planning and running 5 different ‘hubs’ – events – across the county.
So now, all we need is for you to get yourselves booked on to one of the events.
There should be one pretty close to where you live, as they are running all over Notts!
Ideally, pick your closest one and come along! But if you’re busy on the day of your local event, then if you’re prepared to travel a bit further, you can go to that!
You will get a warm welcome wherever you go!
The only two that are a bit different are the Nottingham events. These are split according to ages. If your child with DS is 9 or under, then South glade is for you. If your child/adult with DS is 10 or over, then it’s Monty Hind for you! As Nottingham has so many members, we have had to split into different age groups to ensure we cater for everyone.
The smaller hubs in Bassetlaw, Newark and Mansfield are mixed ages.
