More Than Football
What began as a special invitation in late 2024 quickly became something truly life-changing for our members, volunteers, and families.
Warriors United were invited to meet and interview then-manager Nuno Espírito Santo in the official press room at Nottingham Forest F.C.. Our members sat beside one of football’s biggest names, asking their own questions with confidence, humour, and honesty. The videos captured hearts across social media, went viral, and helped put Warriors United firmly on the map.
But that moment was only the beginning.
Since then, our members have been welcomed into the Forest family in ways we could only have dreamed of — attending Christmas celebrations, taking part in a lap of honour on matchdays, and creating unforgettable memories inside one of football’s most iconic clubs.
One of the most meaningful moments came when Evangelos Marinakis met some of our players during half-time at a match. After hearing about our group and seeing the joy and passion within our community, he generously gifted Warriors United 10 season tickets.
That incredible gesture did more than provide seats at football matches — it created opportunities, belonging, confidence, friendships, and experiences our members will remember for the rest of their lives.
Those season tickets have since been gifted again for the following two years, meaning every Warriors United player and volunteer has had the chance to experience live Premier League football and feel part of something bigger.
For many of our members, these experiences have built confidence in ways words cannot fully describe. New friendships have formed, independence has grown, and families have watched their loved ones thrive in environments where they feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
This partnership represents everything Warriors United stands for: inclusion, opportunity, community, and believing that everyone deserves moments that inspire them.
By supporting Warriors United — whether through volunteering, fundraising, sponsorship, or donations — you are helping us continue creating opportunities like these for people with Down’s syndrome and other learning disabilities.
Together, we are changing lives, breaking barriers, and proving that football, community, and inclusion have the power to bring people together in extraordinary ways.
