Nottinghamshire Down Syndrome Support Group is pleased and proud to announce we have been chosen by Nottingham Kayak Club (NKC) as their nominated charity for 2022.
NKC is a long-established club, based on Trentside North in the shadow of the City Ground. The club numbers over 300 members with many current and past international athletes and coaches and world and Olympic champions.
For the club paddler, NKC provides a friendly, welcoming environment where everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. The club provides an extremely supportive and knowledgeable environment in which to enjoy kayaking at a recreational or competitive level.
The club will be holding a number of Fund Raising Events throughout the year, commencing with a New Year’s Day Race for Club Members and others in double kayaks outside the club on Trentside North.
Additionally, there will be opportunities for families within the Group to take part in special ‘Family Fun Days’ (when the weather gets better) with a chance of taking part in Canoeing or Kayaking on The River Trent. They would be able to meet, rub shoulders and float their boats with some of the International Paddlers and Coaches.

The first event for 2022 is the Annual NEW YEAR KNOCK OUT RACE.
