Footprints Cup 2022

Footprints Cup 2022

What an amazing day on Saturday!

Our own Education FC Warriors played on the pitch for the Footprints Cup, helping to raise money for the wonderful Footprints Conductive Education Centre.

Quite a few folk pulled out at the last minute, for whatever reason, but the majority made it. And we had a fabulous time, despite the weather not being perfect.

The younger members did a range of circuits, including ladders, hurdles and shots on target. The older members were divided into two teams, and played a match against themselves.

The Warriors welcomed a few new faces to join them, as well as siblings of our players, and all got to take part. Andrew, from the BBC’s Greatest Dancer, a few years’ back, even asked to join us for our session!

I’m so proud of every one of our players who made it yesterday (and all those who wanted to, but couldn’t make it!) Thank you, too, to those who were willing to lend their kits to other players when they were unable to be there themselves.

Loads of money was raised, the players got to meet celebrities, they all scored some amazing goals – and made Andy Coppins look like the worst goalie ever! But most of all, they did their team proud, and truly deserved their medals and the cup they won for being our champions!
